randomlittleandpurple asked: hello, I think your work is really great and I was just wondering if you could help me out. I want to apply to UAL (CSM, and Chelsea are my only options at the moment). If you're not too busy could you give me a couple tips on what I should include in my portfolio, I want to major in Graphic Design. I'll be applying to the BA in Graphic Design in Chelsea and CSM as well as the foundation program in CSM. Please, if its not a hassle, your help would be very appreciated. Thank you.
Hello randomlittleandpurple,
Thank you so much, I’d be glad to help. It would be great to see what kind of work you have. I think it is important to show your potential for working graphically and having the ability to create things for a purpose as well as just looking great! Everyone on the courses I have been on had very different skills and ways of working but those that did well had a genuine passion and interest in the subject. Sometimes this is more important than any technical ability as you will learn how to do things as you go along. It would be a good idea to talk to the tutors to find out more about the course and present work that you think may reflect what they are looking for, as well as your personal style. Hope this helps - If you have any specific questions you can send me your email and I will do my best to answer them.
All the best,
Anna
sfagency asked: hey Anna loved your video for Commonplace. I am helping out Siobhan. Wanted to ask you a few things about your work - and what you are up to know.. thx Jonas.
Thanks Jonas! What are you working on with Siobhan? I’d be happy to answer any questions you have - I am currently working for a tea company designing packaging and advertising on a freelance basis. Are you a student?
Anna
…P.S So I just looked up sfagency - the work you do looks really cool! How did you get into it?

A great brainstorming and development session with second year FdA students, who had a brief from Lewisham Council to find innovative ways to encourage people in the borough to recycle. The students came up with some clever and fun ways to engage and change people’s thinking regarding this issue, and were able to present their ideas to a representative from the council.
